RA HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria country coordinating mechanisms (CCM) held a 2 day out- going workshop with CCM permanent and temporary working groups on December 8-9, 2017. The goal of the workshop was to summarize the activities held in 2017 and to develop an action plan for further activities.
Considering, that the country is currently in transition phase in regard with the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria programs, as well as the country should submit a new project proposal for the 2018-2021 Global Fund Programs, one of the key issues of the workshop was the discussion of the new proposal and development of new applications. The working groups included representatives both from international and local organizations. During the meeting the working groups worked on the first drafts of the applications. Decisions were made to finalize the documents and introduce to CCM for approval.
As for «Community Engagement, Human Rights and Gender Equality» working group, it summarized the activities highlighted in 2017 Action Plan and drafted a new action plan for 2018. Deadlines were set for finalization of the activities.
CCM Secretariat introduced the new requirements to CCM. In particular, the changes in the bylaws, which will allow to improve CCM activities and clarify their goals and principles. It was highlighted also that a new set of CCM members, as well as a line of documents (CCM Governance Manual, CCM Code of Conduct, Operation Manual for CCM Secretariat etc.) should be approved in the first quarter of 2018.
CCM Secretariat introduced also the new CCM website: www.ccmarmenia.am.
